DESCRIPTION:Snowshoeing is a fun way to explore the winter ❄️Let’s go snowshoeing in Lake Tahoe Basin for a day of play and snowthrowing! 🏂\nPSF in collaboration with Magic Bay Area Adventures\n(https://www.facebook.com/groups/MagicBayAreaAdventures) are proud to present Magic Snowshoeing #9 in South Lake Tahoe!\n*MEETING POINT:\nWe will meet at 10:30 AM at the Starbucks Cafe in Bally’s lobby. After that\, we will collect our snowshoes and proceed to the trailhead together.\n**HIKE LEVEL:\nHike Level: Easy\nHike Length: 3 miles\nElevation gain: 200 feet\nHike Duration: ~3 Hours\n*** WHAT TO BRING?\n1) Dress the part: Make sure you are prepared with the correct clothing for your outing. Dress in layers\, you can always take off extra clothing if you get too warm\, but don’t get caught in a situation where you might be wishing for a heavier jacket. Always have a pair of gloves or mittens\, wool socks\, waterproof boots\, a hat that covers your ears\, waterproof pants\, a waterproof jacket\, and sunglasses as snow in the sunlight is intensely bright.\n2) Be prepared: Snowshoeing is a sport\, and regardless of it being your first trek or your 100th\, you’re heart rate is bound to climb as you start moving. Just like with hiking\, the level of exertion you expend is up to you\, but there’s a good chance you could break a sweat. Make sure to be prepared and pack a small backpack or fanny pack with the essentials:\nWater – Even though it’s cold you still need to keep hydrated as you expend energy\nSnacks – Make sure to bring snacks that will boost your energy—such as apples\, trail mix\, almond butter\, etc.\nSunscreen – Light reflects off the snow making sunburn likely\, so be sure to apply sunscreen to any skin that is exposed\n-Special Note: Beware of cotton! Don’t wear any cotton cloth!\n3) Please be there ON TIME to not miss the group!\n**** If you have an urgent matter\, please call us. Otherwise\, it would be better to communicate via text.
